Looks like Loeb has had to retire from 16 races. Not sure how many of those were from crashes or mechanical failure. Out of 140 races, I'd say that is a little better than the 6/10 rallies Block has totaled his car. By my math that means block is going to need to finish the next 118 races crash free to catch those kind of numbers ;)

You would think twice about getting in there if you saw the cars up close right after the crashes.

FYI, one of Block's retirements was due to roll cage damage that was not repairable. Have fun being his co-driver.

Sounds to me that they were being responsible by not letting him go back out. If he had continued to race with an unrepairable roll cage I could see your point, but this makes little sense imo. I guess the safety equipment is doing it's job?

My point is if his wrecks are bad enough to damage a roll cage would you want to be in the car with him? :nope:
