Wow I finally got a chance to see these pics here at home. Those pics sure don't do them any justice!! lol They didn't seem to look quite that bad in person.
But, like I said in my PM, let me know how you end up and we'll work something out. I'm not out to rip anyone off. :D

What cams are they? And about how many miles with what oil, and how often it was changed? They look like a used cam.

They are Crower Stage 2 cams (272's) out of my 1g. Pretty sure Scheides put them in the car waaay back in the day. lol

the cam lobes look great, but the main journals aren't so good... makes me think the cam caps were improperly torqued or installed wrong or something?

Hahah! None of my DSMs ever had anything but stock cams in them.

What about the grooves you could feel with a finger? Those cant be cleaned up without actually taking material off.

these are stock cams ;) Polishing takes material off, just a very small amount. I could barely feel the grooves with my fingernail before, and now they're all but gone.
