This is exactly what I want, but I think that's a little on the high side for cost?

Evo IXs are expensive as it is with the Evo X being non-4G63 equipped. Finding a clean one with no mods and low miles is going to be fairly difficult, so be prepared to spend whatever they're priced at when they do pop up.

That's exactly what I'm finding, if they are clean and unmodded, they are worth more than your virgin bride on your wedding night! I might go as high as $28K on one if it is PERFECT!

Seems like IX's still go for quite a premium. Just for your reference I found my IX MR in September for a decent deal I thought, 44k miles, only has intake, exhaust, boost controller and tune, for $21,500. I talked the guy down from $23,500. I would say mine was/is probably about a 9-9.5/10 as far as overall cleanliness. One small scratch on the front bumper, a little pock mark in the dash board, and I had to replace the shifter cables when I got it ($80 and about 2-3 hours), but the price was right and it was local, so I jumped on it.

$28k for a IX??? That guy is on crack even if it does only have 9k miles.

This would be a much better buy IMO. a few guys here have ridden in it/seen it also.

The problem we all know is that modding it and beating it can mess it up forever, depending on who's doing it! I personally would rather pay the extra cash up front not to pay for someone elses mistakes on <and in> the backside! Also please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the IX's lighter and quicker in general than the X's. In anycase I like the way the IX's look better, and have a long, sick and twisted love affair with the old 4G63 that I just can't seem to shake......:->

Yup. Crash ratings, etc require cars to have more weight now.

That car is a built FP Red car. It'll be just a little faster than the stock IX. RS Motors built it so I guess your opinion of them will decide the rest of your concerns.
