I'm sad to have to put this up for sale since I was planning to keep this for myself, but I don't have the time or energy to build another shortblock so it's gotta go.

Clean, rust-free blue with gray chicklets cloth seats, 5-speed, 6/4 combo. All stock except for old school 2.5" pressbent exhaust, HKS TB elbow and air canister. Tires have about 90% tread left, I'm not sure about the brakes and clutch since I bought it this way.

I bought it from the second owner who took the head off and had it rebuilt but never put it back together. It comes with a freshly built head, new Mitsu headgasket and timing belt. The bad part is the rear balance shaft bearing came out and the BS itself bounced around in there and elongated the bearing hole. The bearings have some scoring from metal floating around in there, but the crank doesn't look bad. It might be able to be polished and put some new bearings in, myself, I'd turn or replace the crank, but the pistons, bores and rods are just fine. You could probably plug the BS oil hole by tapping it and putting in a threaded plug ala the way QPR used to do them.

Overall, this is a really nice 1G, it's got the original paint in good condition, the underside is solid with no rust, and the interior is in nicer shape than my GSX. This combined with one of the built shortblocks for sale here would get you a 1really nice platform for big mods for less than $3k. There aren't many clean 1G's left out there anymore.

$1500 or bo.

Damn....I may be talking to you in the next couple weeks...I really want a blue 1gb shell. Does it have a factory moonroof?

It does not have the moonroof, sorry. Personally, I'd rather not have it, they suck on the 1G's. Plus, it's a lot more than a shell, only the shortblock is bad, everything else should be good, and with low miles.

I agree, mine always leaked. Wasn't a con to me buying it, more of a just wondering. Id be down for some more pictures, or maybe come check it out one of these days.

Is that the same color as yours?

Is that the same color as yours?

Ha, no, it's the much more common lighter blue. If it was the same color as mine, it'd be the third one I've ever seen, and I'd probably keep it no matter what. If I don't get really close to what I'm asking, I'll keep it as well. It is a really nice car, I've just got too many cars and not enough space to store them. Got any extra space to rent up there? :spin:

Need to move this guys, the wife wants her garage spot back. :D

Feel free to make offers, might be interested in trades as well, something I can drive though.

Lightly considering this. From what I can tell, the block could be saved if the oiling hole is blocked? At that point it needs a crank(or to save the current crank), some new rings and a light hone of the cylinders, some bearings, and assembly of everything?

My main issue is also the wife, I don't need any more projects at this time, but I would like an awd daily driver.. I think the only way I could get away with it is if it was stupid cheap. Steve, if you come up with a bottom basement price you'd accept, maybe PM me. Otherwise if you happen to need any parts or anything, check out my for sale posts and see if we can do a partial trade/cash type of thing. Maybe we can work something out.

Hey Steve, could you pm me with your number, or text me? I have a new phone and don't have your number handy.
