WTF. I think this guy should rot in fucking hell. Thoughts?

HARTFORD, Conn. – A driver who's serving a manslaughter sentence for striking and killing a 14-year-old boy is suing the victim's parents, blaming them for their son's death because they allowed him to ride his bike in the street without a helmet.

^^Are you kidding? really?

Prosecutors say Weaving was recklessly passing another car at about 83 mph in a 45-mph zone when his car hit Matthew Kenney on Route 69 in the Waterbury suburb of Prospect on April 27, 2007. A jury convicted him in December 2008 of manslaughter and other crimes.

Weaving has five drunken driving arrests since the late 1990s on his record, four of which resulted in convictions. He was not charged with drunken driving in the Kenney case.

The Kenneys say Weaving's license should have been permanently revoked in 1999 under state law because of the multiple convictions.

Not sure I'd call 83mph in a 45 an accident, plus this guy is known for being a moron behind the wheel with all his drunken driving convictions.

No im for real. Im not familiar with the law when it comes to involuntary man slaughter. I havent read the story yet, if it honestly was an accident like a child ran into the street chasing his ball and was hit what would happen?

Reading the story first helps FAIL!

I got hit by a car when i was little. My friend and i were riding my bike home from messing around on the tennis courts. I was on the handle bars and my friend was driving, We looked both ways getting ready to cross a busy street in Cottage Grove, and we saw a car about 100 feet away with his blinker on looking like he was going to turn 50 feet before us. Started to cross when road when WHAM, I get up off the street, look around like what the fuck just happened. and the guy that hit us pulled over about 50 feet past us and yells "are you guys ok?" We reply with "I guess so" and he drives off. I think back on that and wish i would have gotten his plates.
We thought it was mostly funny that we just got hit by a car... my mom didnt find it as funny.

^ That explains alot. Wonder how hard you actually hit your head on the ground. ;)

The driver of the car going 83mph needs his license revoked, a long prison sentence, and his lawsuit thrown into the toilet.

Your story, to me, sounds like you guys weren't exactly guilt-free in that situation. But this guy doing 80 in an area kids were playing, that is a whole nother story.

Never said I was, but i think i was in 5th grade at the time. I dont remember much from it, just that i was on the handle bars at one point looking the other way for traffic coming from the other side, next thing i know im on the ground.

Thats the least of it.
Ive had 31 stitches in my head alone.
List of accidents -
- Hit in the head with a golf club on two separate occasions (not in a fight or anything, just stupid decisions) both required stitches.
- riding my bike to school i was trying to catch up to friends, bombing a rather large hill, chain fell off (one of those clever bikes that you would pedal backwards in order to stop) hit a patch of sand and face planted on the street ripping the skin on my fingers back, and leaving two large gashes on my face.
- fell of my bike before going to church, and went blind for 2 hours.
- Ran off of a bike jump i made, it collapsed, broke two bones in my shin.
- Bit by a dog in the ass after trying to pet it.
- went over my handle bars and sprained my wrist, i didnt have brakes so i decided to stick my foot behind the fork of the front tire... not smart.
- hit by a car crossing 80th street while on the handle bars of my own bike.
All of this happened before leaving elementary school (6th grade).

Glad my parents had good insurance. :)
