The season end is coming up much too quickly, and we are trying to squeeze in as many race weekends as we can before the cold comes. Next Sunday the 26th we are going to be headed to Cedar Falls for "The Midway Shootout" and wanted to see if anyone else was planning to make the trip? We will be bringing the FDSM for some good old fashion grudge matches, and also Mark Leasures 9 second 1G. This place is swarming with domestics, it we be awesome to see some fast imports give them a run for their money ;) Here is the invitation from TCStangs and TNT Race Shop:

Payouts are based on the total number of cars, additionally anyone outside of the state of MN wanting to attend needs to call Carl @ 612-669-6993 and get the OK to race as this is designed as a purely MN event but they will be making some exceptions from what I understand.

I really want to make this, never been to CFR and it's not too far away now. Depends on if I'm tailgating the day before or not.

Eh, I've had some not-so-great experiences there. Not saying I wouldn't go back, but I wouldn't make it the point of any trip down there, either.

I went to CFR years ago and I loved it, traction was awesome and it was one of them midnight mania/street drag night.

I'm pumped to go both to CFR again and to this event.

Sounds like a blast! If only I had something to race. Good luck out there!

There's a guy in Andover who rents out flat beds for a helluva price.

I can get you his number if you are serious about wanting one.

Should be a lot of fun, it was a bit cold last year but it should be in the high 60's this year, perfect racing weather! Additionally I have heard they are pretty relaxed when it comes to roll cages, etc...
