The thing is this: I would like a ride in a Viper. Especially a GTS. I know there are a few of you Viper owners out there, just not sure how often you check the board. I have been hoping that one of you might show to the weekly meets so I could ask for a ride but that hasn't worked out, so I thought I'd ask here. I have previously rode in a SRT-10 in Colorado, but would like to see what they are like with closer to their rated power (that was from 5300ft-9000ft). Sorry about the long post directed to such a small group people but I don't know another way.
My name is Reid
My digits be: six-one-two eight-seven-five 9454

My brother and I both have GTSs. I will be pretty tied up the next few weeks, but could possibly give you a ride sometime. I don't really attend meets as my car doesn't quite fit in and I am usually fairly busy.

Having spent the last month tuning a Twin turbo viper off and on (mechanical issues keep popping up), I highly recommend everyone get a ride in a viper, especially a boosted one :).

If you are talking about the blue/white one from TX, that thing still has a ways to go. I could make that kind of power with my car just with installing my head/cam setup. I have a blower, big fuel system, AEM and better rear end at home. Just haven't had the time or the need to install them yet.

With the small turbos on that car, it should still be able to put down 900 whp when the bugs are worked out and it is tuned properly.

I'll just say they are lots of fun, once you find a way to get comfortable in it. :D

I think it is just as comfortable as my E55. Driving to MAM last year, I drove 4 hrs and needed to change cars with my brother because the VW EOS he was driving was too uncomfortable. I could have diven the whole 6hrs without a problem. No issues driving it back from Chicago either.

slowbubblecar, where are you?

Right here :p

they are wide cause they need them lol

They still aren't enough to get the car to stick for me in some of the turns at BIR. Almost hit a wall last time at BIR even with the slicks on it.

It costs $1,200 for a set of cheaper tires or $2,000 for a set of good ones in the factory size.

'94 vette. lmao.

Let me know when the rides are given. I would love to see one of these go around the track.

The supercharged viper i got to see in TX was alright, ran 150+ all day and actually would hook on the street.
Its currently in teh middle east getting some action.

Paxton? How was the ride? In the SRT, I felt like I wasn't quite tall enough to see out. Anything like that going on in the GTS?

Not sure where he got it. I am doing some tuning on it for another shop (AEM EMS).
However, I don't think its the one you are talking about, as it has never seen the dyno (yet) and we are still working out fueling issues under boost, thinking one of the twin walbro's is dead as it goes lean after 4-5psi.

I am figuring it'll make around 775-825rwhp on a safe street tune on a dynojet when complete in a few weeks here.

Still even NA with a hint of boost added it is a fun car. Very nice GTS with uber low miles. Kind of small for my taste though, but fun regardless.

He should get a set of used wheels and tires if he plans on messing around doing that. That isn't quite my thing.

Easier to get them to hook on the street than coming out of a turn. There are many supercharged vipers in TX. Probably more than any other state.

My paxton is sitting on my shelf at this time. Hasn't been installed yet.

What color is it? I only know of a few TT vipers in MN. Most vipers have fairly low miles. My GTS only has 15-16k on it. See some with less than 10k pop up fairly regularly.

I'm sure it is easier to hook on the street than in a turn, but i'm sure 400whp is easier than 1000+whp too.

It's TX if they aren't road racing they are building stupid highway cars.
