I got some good news and thought I would share it. I have been searching for my biological Father for many years and have found him. My Parents got Divorced when I was in the 1st grade. Dad split and I never heard from him again. I have spent a long time trying to locate him. I guess to kinna bring some closure to the situation. I am now 35 yrs old and have found him. I located him via whitepages.com about a month ago. I was working up the nerve to call him and finally got around to it 2 weeks ago. But when I called I found that the # had been disconnected. Called a car parts store in the small town where he was to be. My dad was an auto body man so decided this would be the best route as the town was very small. They told me that he had moved and no idea where. I thought it was over then. I had searched for his mother but never found her and believe she has died by now. Well I did some further searching and located his Aunt and Uncle today. I made the call and was rewarded. They told me that he had moved and gotten remarried. I found he had gotten married to a Philipino and moved to the Philippines. I also found out that they are expecting a baby. My dad is 62 yrs old! Wow! My wife then said that this proves I will never need Viagra. We got a laugh out of that. The other kicker is that my Grandmother is not dead. She reluctantly moved to the Philippines w/ my Dad. I have to call his Aunt and Uncle again tonight to gather further info on how to contact him. I am just elated as this search has been going on for many years. Moral of the story is that persistence pays off.

Wow man, that's sweet news. Congratulations.

So you're gonna have another sibling at 35. Wowsers... Do you have any kids? Cuz if so, they'd have an aunt or uncle that's younger than them. Weird...

Congrat's.

Jenny and I just found her father this past thanksgiving. - she hadn't seen him since she was 6yrs old.

Funnest things is him and I get a long great. He's big time into sports cars and Races off shore speed boats for a living. (he's retired now though)

Well, we don’t have any kids yet but plan on having some in the near future. I was born as an only child. In the 80’s my Father got re-married and I got a step sister and half sister out of that deal. Never met or talked to them as his second marriage ended in divorce also. My mother remarried about 5 years ago and I got 5 step brothers and 5 step sisters out of that deal. They are located from Vancouver to Denmark. I have met 8 of them so far and have communicated with everyone. Great people! I am the youngest. So now I am going to have another on the way. So from only child to 4th youngest out of 13! I wish I would have had them when I was younger. That way I might have been able to get outta some of the trouble I got into by blaming them. ;)

Brian - Happy for you and Jenny also. It’s a wonderful feeling to get back with Family you never really had a relationship with.

Enes - I know what you mean but at least I will find out either way. He could just have completely given up on me and may not ever want to talk to me. But at least I know he is alive and soon where and how to get in contact with him. I can go to the grave when my time comes knowing that I gave him the chance. It’s up to him to take it.

Wow, that's amazing news Howie! I hope it works out for the best. It sounds like it will. I can't imagine what it was like going through life wondering what your father was like, etc, etc....

Brian- that's great news too. I know Jenny wanted to find her dad someday. So is he in this area?
