my interior leather driver's seat looks like my boxers i wore today. It's all torn up. I'm gunna get both front seats reupholstered in leather, but I'm still not 100% set on the colors. Right now the seats are a real light greyish tanish color. Well I was thinking it'd either look cool to keep em the same color, but get some of the patches done in black to make it look a lil more custom i guess. Or I was also debating to do the same but with a darker Grey color with black patches. The grey would be like the color of the glove box, so the seats would kinda match the interior dash. Anyway, If anyone has any tips or ideas on what colors i should do, then please lemme know. I suck at designer type of stuff like this. But I don't want like bright blue or sumthing. I kinda just want a nice clean look, but be kinda custom at the same time since it's costing nothin more to get it done in more than one color. So ideas, tips, or maybe even like photoshopped pics of an idea would be great! thanx everyone.

I think black with gray sounds lke a good idea..this kinda thing is what i eventually wanna do for a living. (Car customization Consultation) But yeah Grey And black sounds good unless you plan on dramatically changin the interior or exterior of you car anytime soon

A solid color is nice or add an insert for a little more of a variety. Black/grey or vice versa would look nice or if you have any other accent colors that's an option as well, but can sometimes look tacky. Best thing imo is to just do something that'll still retain a somewhat stock appearence. If you're interested, check out Katzkin Leather (http://www.leatherseats.com) to have some upholstery made up. I've used them before and they are a VERY nice and HIGH quality leather replacement. If you're up for doing it yourself this is the ticket as going to a shop is usually extremely expensive especially for custom upholstery. They send with all the hardware you need. It is not hard to take your existing leather off and the new stuff goes on easy too. Takes maybe a few hours out of your weekend to do. Just my .02

You could do black leather seats with maroon center sections. The sections in the middle of the seat could be dark maroon to match the exterior. That would look cool and not stand out too much.

That would be cool too, as long as you can get a relatively close match to the exterior...

well the interior i really didn't want to be TOO flashy. Just nice and clean. I didn't plan on having it match the outside, just kinda have its own lil scheme going on in there. but i was thinkin simple colors like greys or tans or black. I dunno, I'm glad you guys like the black and grey. That's prolly what I'll go with. But also, I'd eventually wanna get the back seats done to match as well. But i was wondering, if i got the rear seats done in vinyl, it'd save me a lot of money. It would hopefully still look kinda like leather, but I think it'd be pointless to spend money on making em actually leather because who sits back there anyway. But just gettin em done in vinyl to match the front seats... Does that sound good or would it be really easy to tell right off the bat and look incredibly tacky? Also by the way, I'm getting the front done here at a local shop for 175/seat. Gotta love that cheap Mexican labor!!!

ok well if i have time, i think im going to be turning em in tomorrow for reupholstering. I still am unsure of the colors to get though. I was thinking grey with black accenting, but my buddies fiance said she didn't think that would look nice. She suggested light grey with dark grey accents. I dunno, if someone is a good photoshopper, could you maybe put up examples of different colors or sumthin, I wanna turn these things in by tomorrow. I still kinda like the stock light tanish color they are, but i dunno what would accent that at all. I dunno, I'm real bad at matching colors and doing this decorative stuff. HELP!

I would go black with silver/gray like you were thinking. That would look sweet. But then your interior needs to be silver/gray and you have to stick with that color scheme.

Your valve cover will match ;)

ya i am gunna have the interior be its own scheme, not matching the outside or anything. So u think grey and black, Grey being more dominant with black accents, or vice versa? Also what shade of grey? Like light silverish grey kinda like the color of the carpet, or dark grey kinda like the color of the glove box? I dunno, I guess I'm scared because I just don't wanna spend the money on this and not like how it turns out.

whichever color you have as the dominant color on the seats should be the same dominant color throught tha whole interior. So whischever color you think would be easist to match the rest of the interior to, is what i think the main color should be.
