HotRod Magazine came in the mail yesterday and there was an article about a hot vapor engine done back in the eighties by Smokey Yunik. Pretty cool, sounds like the car manaufactuer might try this technology again to reach the new EPA mandates. Other benifits are increase in power output as well.

There's probably something to it if they get all the bugs worked out, but it still wouldn't work well in cold climates due to using water. Plus I wouldn't want a steam boiler up by my feet, they make a regular engine explosion look like a small firecracker.
