On the passenger side my dash cover is starting to peel off. The previous owner tried to glue it down but it didn't work. What would work to bond that back to the metal frame behind it? I have seen lots of different glues, but just am not sure what to use. Thanks.

When I had a 1G-A, I used Gorilla glue combined with rubber bands/a heavy object to clamp them to each other. The next morning the dash was on there solid.

if the metal is smoothe sand it down a little to give the glue a better surface to adhear to.

+1 for gorilla glue

Are you for real? That is hilarious! I actually used gorilla glue on my dash as well, still sort of holding but I don't believe it's a long term fix. I would lean towards a 2-part epoxy and some clamps like the ones for patato chip bags but industrial strength ones. Wow this is an older post.

3M has a couple different universal adhesives that may do the trick. Their spray adhesive works great for gluing headliner fabric back in place.

I used Gorilla Glue on my 1G, and duct taped it for a day. That was last fall and it still looks good.

Give it a few years, it's been 3 years for me and the gorilla glue isin't holding up very well anymore. epoxy that shiz, and the 3m spry adhesive for the headliner is decent but farbic glue does the trick.

Has anyone made their own headliner?
