Its going to be a party in Oakland with lots of loud music, Embezzelment, Free Cable and Burglerys. I would say there would be dumping of trash, but oakland is a shithole anyways, so it may be called a favor.

Funny how anytime there have to be cuts made, it's always the police and fire departments!! They do that crap on purpose to scare the general public into accepting more taxes, by way of fear. Notice they never cut park clean up personnel or meter maids.

CA needs to do like TX and tax consumption (more heavily) rather than earnings. That would fix a large majority of their issues. *see economy thread I posted* I personally agree with this since I can then more easily control how much I'm taxed without affecting my actual income level.

By buying stuff off the internet? :)

WOW, thats tough to see, That would make sense though, If Oakland is cutting 80 officers from the force, I'm sure they're streached pretty thin already. They couldn't possibly cover everything, with less man-power

Exactly...or by not spending [as much]. I have this choice to not be taxed [as heavily] at the state level since my actual income is not hit before reaching my pocket. The only way to do this in MN (and most other states) is by decreasing your actual salary.

Yeah, but then the poor would be more heavily taxed than the rich, you know, those who save their money rather than squandering it on the latest ab exploder or quadruple cheeseburger.
