1g Transmission in a 2g

So I've done some research and observing and noticed that you can't put a 1g tranny in a 2g. But would it be possible to put all the internals from the 1g into the 2g? Has anyone tried this or have any good information on it? Thanks

Not sure why you would even want 1g internals in a 2g case. Sounds like too much effing around. I would just buy a 2g tranny.

it can be done have to pull the berring races out and reqires a torch and a berring puller

i have had to swap cases before and it sucks but if you have to and its all you got then go for it im going to be doing another one soon here ...

2g trannys seem difficult to find, I've had a couple friends look around for a long time before finding one.

The reasoning behind it is, supposedly my 1g tranny is a shep. It shifts better then my 2g tranny and I have it out of the car now so it would be nice. But Im running short on $ so it might have to wait a little longer.
