Traffic School For Speeding Ticket?

I was wondering if anyone here has attended traffic school here in MN in exchange for getting a speeding ticket off your record. I just got a ticket that I really want to not go on my record. I know plenty of other people in other states that have done that, but I've heard that MN doesn't have that option?

If not, does anyone have any other advice? I am going into the county (Ramsey) clerk this week and want to have a few options. I am willing to pay the fine + more $$ if necessary to get it off my record. I already know about deferred prosecution (pay fine and no tickets for the next year and it goes off your record).

And finally, the cop that wrote me the ticket incorrectly marked the speed zone as a 30, when in fact it really is a 35. Will that give me any leverage at all? Please only respond if you know for sure or have experience.

I just got done with the same thing. I got a ticket for 74 in a 45, but it was really a 50. It didn't help me at all because I was still in the same bracket. How many mph were you? If it drops you out of that bracket, you may get out of it. I got stuck with mine.

There also isn't a traffic school option in MN. If it is under 20 mph over, you may be able to do a probation. If you don't get a same offense in the next year then it will be dropped off your record.

I received a speeding ticket in plymoth going 67 in a 45mph zone. The citation was 130$ but instead of paying it i saw a hearing officer about what i could do and i had 3 options i could...

1) pay 130$ (the ticket) straight up and it goes on my insurance
2) argue the ticket in court
or
3) pay 200$ and it dosent go on my insurance however i cant get another ticket within a full year or else both tickets go on my insurance and/but if i dont get another ticket for a full year it 'never happend'.

i went with the 3rd option so as you would guess im driving extra cautious now
