Car won't start, been sitting for a few months now. the very first time i tried to start it, sounded normal for a second, and then something changed and it sounded weird, like it doesn't want to start.

-Has spark, i pulled a plug, grounded it and i can see it spark.
-Has fuel pressure at the rail
-ECU doesn't appear to have leaking caps

What do I try next? Resistor pack is on my list, but what after that? I'm thinking the injectors aren't firing. Can I just hook up a light across the injector plug to see if it lights up when I try to start it? Would CAS have anything to do with injectors? I'm really baffled.

Thanks!

update: resistor pack is good... which isn't surprising. It would be weird if that went bad. I hooked up a test light to an injector plug, dunno if its a good way to test it since the response time of the bulb is slow, but I saw no light and have no indication that there is any power going to the injectors.

If you want I have a noid light made for testing injectors you could borrow. But I would for sure need it back!

You could always unbolt the rail and see if the injectors are firing ;) Just make sure you unplug your coil and are carefull. You can hold them in the rail with a few rubber bands.

Noid light is gonna be your best bet to check for injector pulse, Have you checked the timing or compression yet? Thats where where I would go next

Yea Paul I could let you use my ecu as well, found that stock chip for it. Prob get a compression tester on that thing as well.

I didn't want to start a new thread but I'm having the same issue too. Except my motor is freshly rebuild. Had Import Engine do my whole block and clean my head. A friend and I assemble the head ourselves. I know everything has to be good, motor wise. I did a compression test and its about 120 across cause it hasn't been broken in yet. I'm getting fuel since the fuel pressure gauge is at 50psi. Only thing is spark. I got new spark plugs and spark plug wires in. When I pulled out the plugs, I can see it's getting spark cause the spark plugs do look burned. I'm stuck... Help?

quick question, the cylinder from left to right is
4321
coil is
4123

Here's my vid; I had to use a headphone to hear. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cALdPmSQZAw

You could of pulled a tom and put them plugs in the wrong way, but yeah i think thats the right orientation of the cylinders and coil
