My WRX is for sale and I am wondering, what do I need to do for paperwork to make this sale legit? I am doing a generic Bill of Sale I downloaded, but what else may I need?
Quick responses would be nice ;)

Not much. A generic receipt for the dollar amount is nice, but not absolutely necessary. You need to sign the title only on the first seller signature, then have the buyer fill out the small detachable buyer info card on the bottom, then either send it in to the state, or go online to the MN DVS site and fill out the form to say the car has been sold.

I usually don't do anything aside from make sure the title is filled out and enter the buyers info in online.

Just the title, nothing else. Fill out and sign the sellers info and info about the car (miles, emissions, etc.) and then have the buyer fill out the small postcard that you either mail in or submit the info online.

If the title has a secured interest still listed, make sure you have the lien release paperwork. That's always the pisser that I've had in buying cars from private party.
