I'm pretty sure my ECU is fudged and replacing my capacitors will probably fix the problem, I'm getting a clicking sound when trying to start or even turn the key to the start position, all power cuts out when I press the brake and I can't even wind up my windows and it's raining outside. I'm gonna pull my ECU out tomorrow to look at the board and capacitors and smell for fish.

Can anyone around here replace the capacitors? And do you have extra capacitors I can buy? I'm poor and pretty much unemployed but hopefully we can work something out because I need my ride to get around.

Sounds like your battery is dead or has a poor connection.... your ecu does not run your windows.

Agreed.

So it might just be as said above connection, or battery, but could have a root cause such as a bad alternator.

Check this out, my ECU exploded literally! http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/5582/cimg2625a.th.jpg (http://img94.imageshack.us/i/cimg2625a.jpg/)

I have black burn marks on the metal case for my ecu. I'm not sure if it's even salvageable, gotta contact steve at this site to see http://simon.chi.il.us/ECU/
but I'm not sure if it's worth it because the ECU doesn't even have an eprom.

Anyone looking to get rid of a 1G turbo ECU?
