i just picked up a 98 gst with the 7 bolt 4g63 turbo and im pulling the motor out to do a full build, im just looking for any input on which parts combos are good and what to stay away from, cams pistons rods anything, i also want to run a much bigger turbo so any input on that would be much appreciated as well thanks

Get a 6 bolt to build instead. Just my.02

Mod your 7 bolt till it breaks!! Build a 6 bolt block on the side. Also if you buy parts for the 7 bolt most will swap over seeing how you only need to build the block.
The 7 bolt can "crankwalk". That's why we suggest to build a 6 bolt, if you didn't already know.
What are your power goals?
There's alot of cars on this site with 300+ stock bottom ends

Also there's alot of guys on here that are very noligable, but a more descriptive post of goals and current vehicle would help. Should also do a little research if this is your first dsm. Search things like vfaq and threads.

alright, well right now i have an n1 cat back exhaust greddy intercooler piping and b.o.v. and a godspeed front mount im looking for some pretty decent numbers 400+ would be nice for now, when i put the motor back in i want to run e85 so im thinking like 1100 injectors and im going to go with dsm link for tuning, bc cams possibly but im not sure which degree of lift to go with, should i get the head ported? new springs? ive heard that going with 3g lifters isnt a bad idea any help with this would be awesome thanks again!

well right now the only mods are greddy b.o.v. and intercooler piping godspeed front mount and an n1 cat back exhaust, id like to hit 400+ when i put the motor back in i wanna run e 85 and im gonna go with dsmlink for tuning, cams im thinking bc but not sure which lift to go with, any thoughts on head work porting new springs etc ive heard going with 3g lifters isnt a bad idea? any help with this would be awesome thanks again!
