California's so broke. "How broke are they?" California's so broke its state legislature is voting on a measure to direct its DMV to investigate electronic license plates (http://jalopnik.com/tag/licenseplates/) capable of displaying advertising on stopped vehicles. Poor much? (H/T to HDC (http://jalopnik.com/people/HDC/)!) [News10 (http://www.news10.net/news/local/story.aspx?storyid=83682)]

Of course they're broke, yet they are busy protesting and boycotting Arizona.

They are also paying $18,700/mo for Nancy Pelosi's office, not to mention her two private jets. Honestly, except for the weather, I have no idea why anyone would ever want to live there.
