Well, I know that it took John Shepherd 7.70 seconds to reach 191 mph. However, can he maintain this speed for 15 minutes and not self destruct? Can the ride be just as comfortable at 50mph as it is at 240mph? Can you get into your talon and genuinely feel the satisfaction of getting into one of the best supercars in the world? No matter how fast my DSM would ever be, I would trade it for a Lambo, Porsche, Ferrari, Bentley, Bugatti, even a BMW in a heartbeat, because it is more to the car than just going fast in a straight line. Plus what do you mean by "faster than bugatti". What is the definition of "faster"? A quatermile race? Quatermile means absolutely nothing.

What are you talking about? Who is comparing the cars? It's only the speed of the two cars in that video being compared in this thread. Faster in a 1/4 or faster in a standing mile, whichever you like better. The rest of the stuff in your post doesn't even need a response.

Also, it's spelled quarter not quater.

Are we not simply talking about who's faster in that race, in that video? Where are you coming up with 15 minutes, Lambo's, and comfort?

15 minutes? According to Car and Driver, the Veyron's fuel consumption at 253 mph was 3.0 mpg. At full throttle its 26.4 gallon fuel tank empties in just 12 minutes 46 seconds. After 15 minutes at a continuous 253 mph the tires would melt.

After having watched multiple runs of these cars going at it in various vids, the outcome of this vid is misleading.

So it's a stock Veyron vs a modded GTR?

I ended up watching more videos last night with the SwitzerP800 GTR and it kicked alot of ass. Over 700 awhp from the factory. One of the best races I watched was it kicking a gsxr 1300 ass over and over again. You can mod super cars too. Regardless what you think I still love this video.

I guess I was a little too hyped up when I posted yesterday. Of course, we can't really compare a veyron vs pretty much any other car in terms of price and luxury, but performance wise, quite a few can put up a fight.

For me, being an owner of a almost 20 year old car with stock motor and baby 16g, it feels incredibly good waxing 600cc bikes, modded subarus, evos, bmw's, and a bunch of other stuff that costs at least 5 times as much as my car ;)

So in other words you would never be able to reach the point of melting tires.
