Since I am returning to the states next Sunday, and need to get a new cell phone. I have been out of the loop for about 2 years with no cell phone, my last phone was a 2g iPhone which left a lot to be desired. What would you recommend? Also not looking to spend $150+ on a plan.

I have a new Blackberry Bold right now and think it's pretty nice, and my roommate has a Storm and he likes that a lot. If I were to buy my own phone I'd probably pick up an HTC Incredible.

I still love my iphone. It is what it is, but it works and it keeps me plenty happy!

I've seen some pretty amazing stuff on Jim's android. Not sure what model he has but its pretty slick. Not sure if the user interface is as intuitive as the iphone, but that comes with the territory of adding a billion features :)

The Droid is a really nice phone. I've heard good things about the HTC Incredible too though.

I ordered my Incredible on Tuesday, it arrives tomorrow. My wife has the Droid Eris and it's pretty sweet, the Incredible is WAY faster.

I have the Droid Incredible, my favorite android phone I have ever owned (have had G1, MyTouch, Hero, and Moto Droid before this one).

311evo has a 3GS and likes it, but he told me (in secret :D ) that if he were to switch phones, the incredible is what he would pick currently.

My plan was $105 a month with 450 minutes, unlimited web and text, and insurance on the phone. Best cell phone service provider in my area so the extra cost is worth it. Android phones do turn-by-turn nav out of the box so save money from buying a GPS too haha.

Anything Android based is what I'd recommend. I have a MyTouch right now and although it's a bit slow at times, I love it. I'm looking into getting it rooted so that it's a little faster.
