OMG. Did you at least cut the dude?

I tried. Chris made me get back in the car.

My prison shank got lost in the shuffle. I was going to try and get him right under the ribs too.

The Mitsubishi gods are smiting us. :(

Make sure that the car is perfectly straight when it's done, things like to bend in half when they're hit like that.

Isn't it 5? I guess it depends on whether you're going by calendar months or not. :)

Definitely. The body shop already said they'll get it up on an alignment rack to make sure everything is straight. I just got the car aligned last weekend too so with that spec sheet it will be very easy to compare. I seriously woke up this morning just sick to my stomach not believing that this actually happened last night (maybe partly because I ate 15 boneless wings too).

What I mean is that just because the wheels are all pointing in the same direction, that doesn't mean the chassis is. If I were you I'd get under the car with a piece of string and make sure everything is straight, front to back. Was the rocker panel underneath the doors damaged? What about the B pillar being pushed in?

The side skirt looked 100% perfect this morning when we went back to inspect the car with the body man. We'll see about the B-pillar once the doors come off; the hinges were tweaked but that may be all. This isn't a State Farm "approved" body shop so I don't expect there to be any behind the scene shenanigans going on, but I will be sure to really look the car over after the repairs to ensure it's just as straight as before.

WTFBBQ!? As I was on my way home from Swifty's, Tom called me and told me what happened. I'm just glad you guys are okay. This thread makes me sad.
