Tuner doesn't always = mechanic

He wouldnt be able to flip the pipe. The peice they cut was the long pipe going down. They would have needed to relocated the BOV flange to where they put the GMMAF, then put the GMMAF where the blow off is. (this is my old FMIC setup i had on my 2g.)
What you can do however is this:
1. Measure the distance of their cut for the GMMAF.
2. Grab a hacksaw, and cut the pipe on both sides of the BOV. so you have the section where the bov flange is.
3. Take the main pipe to a shop that has a welder, (doesnt have to be that shop just a shop with a welder), have them weld the BOV where they put the GMMAF, but make sure if they have to add pipe to equal the distance of the space that was cut for the GMMAF and make sure that its straight as well. and that you mark it well so that they know where you want the BOV positioned on the pipe.
4. Make sure they bead the ends where the gmmaf will go.
5. After its welded up, place the GMMAF where the BOV was located, and cut pipe as needed to make it fit.
Shops usually dont charge too much per weld, I borrowed a friends welder when i made those pipes. The key is to make sure you mark them so that they can line up the marks and weld where you want the angles.
But if you can get them to fix it for free, its much better. The shop should have called you or asked you whether you wanted it higher or lower then the bov IMO, or at least asked the tuner.

So I met with Bill the owner of MAC Autosport and he said he will refund my money or if I get a new uicp reinstal for free. But what I'm thinking is relocate the bov lower then the gm maf and call it a day.
