Going over all of my threads I realized that I didnt have a project thread dedicated to my 92. I have a few threads here and there showing whats going on with it, but nothing thats been updated and openeded.

I got my 92 back when I started college and had no clue what it was. I just knew I wanted something turbo. So I went to wisconsin to pick it up. She was all stock and an AUTO.

Just like every other DSM it started to get modded. I bought an ebay 16g and supporting mods and miraculously it lasted a whole year of being beaten on!

Then like all ebay turbos it started to fall apart. So i upgraded to a 50trim, and the mods to support that.

Then while I live in winona, we had some crazy floods and the national guard wouldnt let me into my dsm for 7 days. she sat in standing the whole time. But I didnt want to give up on the car. I pulled out the interior and installed new carpet, seats, headliner, panels, etc etc. and all the gaskets in the engine.

Then I played around with nitrous for a little while. It was fun but i sold it for a better toy. I also switched over to e85 at this time.

Then after 2 auto trannies died on me, it was time to swap over to a manual, I really couldnt afford the 3000 for a good auto tranny.

So far i havnt driven it on the new manual setup. It still has a few bugs to work out. One major problem is the used RPS pressure plate that came with the manual swap parts is UNGODLY stiff. ive never felt a dsm clutch nearly this stiff and ive felt many. so i might have to get a new clutch setup before i take it out.

I just got done installing my rear kill switch. I was pretty happy with the install and i think it looks pretty good.

Noticed you have a 4 point roll bar.

I bought one a while ago, do you actually use it or is it good for anything? don't you need a 6 point roll bar if going over 11 seconds or at the track?

Just wondering if I should install mine or just leave it out...

Also, jtlyk, you can't have a plastic kill switch at the track, not approved

plus you need a NHRA approve battery box if you are going to take it down the track. Metal vented box I believe...

Sorry for being a mod killer...

no its all good, in all honesty i dont plan on being track legal with this car. I lost all my seat belt stuff in the flood so i got 4 point harness's, so i got the 4 point simply to have a good harness bar.

I install the switch because the car sits a lot and has a tiny battery so i dont feel like charging it all the time, and its just easier to kill power.

battery box is no where near legal, or its mounting system.

haha im sure there a a few other 'track' issues but its a street car. If a do take it to rock falls ever ill change things around, but i dont see that happening for awhile

Kind of funny NHRA would not let you run that but for autocrossing you don't need any sort of kill switch. Just need to have a secure, safe location.
