Again, I am not going to get into the private messages. As stated in the rules there is no 100% private sections of this site. And honestly every web forum you and anyone else has ever been on has the ability or is already doing the same thing. It's a PM. Call it a personal message then if you like. Also There are only 3 people with the ability to moderate the PMs. Myself, Jana, and Mike. The 2 site owners, and the one man that I have full trust and faith in when it comes to the security of this site. People would be surprised on the amount of PMs that travel through this site. We have litteraly thousands stored at this very moment. Moderation is key.

Ok, here is the deal, bandwidth costs, if the case is that your bills are too high ask for donations for the site, set a limit.. lets say $1/month from a person..
so if someone pays $10 that will cover him for 10 months... i'm sure you will get 20 people giving at least 5 to 10 each... and that wille asily cover your hosting expenses even with me :)

Can't we just put a limit on PM's by a person? Say 50 per month or something? I guess I am a little right wing and privacy is a bit of a deal to me. Not that I have said anything that needs to be hidden, but I just don't like the idea of someone being able to see everything. You know, the satellites watching you and all :D

I am going to expand a little bit about why I chose to include my disagreements with the PM policies in my site suggestions. The conflict of interest came when I was in an ongoing discussion via PM with a member of this site in regards to an issue concerning the welfare of DSMStyle.com. The discussion had been going back and forth through a fair amount of PM's, and when a member of the administrator team saw this ongoing discussion, he/she chose to read what our discussion was in regards to. Now instead of the administrator inquiring about our concern, he/she chose to interpret the entire discussion how he/she wanted, and proceed to write a very strong PM to me for not consulting directly with an administrator from the exact moment my point of concern developed.
If the administrator team chooses to read PMs, fine and dandy, but, I see absolutely no justification for members of the administrator team choosing to interpret the PMs how they see fit and jumping to conclusions without first consulting with the author(s) of the PM.

Thanks,
Jake

I'm gonna say this one more time, as it is also stated in the rules. For security of the site, and as another way to ensure there is no mis use of the site there is no private part of the borad. There is a thing called your e-mail and a phone. Our message system is for one memebers to ask another member a specific question or to ask one of our vendors a question. I'm done with this subject. There will be no change to it. It's been this way for a year. I am not about to discuss our reasons we have for running the site the way we do.
