I'm guessing i should probably have found out this info first, but I just purchased a new sheet metal intake manifold, and found there to be no MAP sensor bung. I have a 99 GST, with DSM link. Do i need to weld in a bung for the MAP sensor, or is there a way to tune and have a proper running car without it?

If you have a mas then you don't NEED a map, but its nice to have one.
*just saw you have a 2G, so I'm not a 100% but it did come with one from the factory so you might, I would tap it for one and if you don't have a sensor plug it for now, but having a MAP will make it easier to tune.*

You can disable it in DSMLink and not have to hook it back up.

i think your talking about the sensor that sits on top of the manifold. its not the MAP sensor. its something like an atmospheric differential sensor or something i forget the name. you dont need it.

^x2. You could always buy a 3 or 5 bar map sensorand thread it into one of the bungs on the bottom of the intake manifold if you wanted to log boost or go speed density.
