hey guys i was just wondering i am looking at this dsm i wanna buy n it has a bad head gasket..when the guy bought it obviously got some water in the oil but once he towed it home he didnt start it or anything..im suppose to be gettn it here soon and he drained the oil out of it 1-2 months ago prolly and its just been sitting with no oil..is that bad? what can happen?

It's fine as long as it wasn't run with no oil or run too long with coolant in the oil.

oh ok it hasnt been started or anything since it was drained..would it be a good idea to put in about 2 quarts just cuz its gna sit for like another month?

Not really. It's not going to touch anything that you would want to actually keep oiled. Kinda like putting 2 quarts in a bucket and setting it next to the motor.

ha alright thanks man..so everything should be good once i fix head gasket n drop new motor oil in it?

as long as the guy didnt just "say" he drained the oil. and in reality he ran it dry.

yeah dude, seems kinda sketchy to me. Why would someone just drain the oil?

he was about to fix the headgasket and started with draining the oil but backed out of it cuz he said he didnt wanna mess with dsms..

as long as it was not run with out oil it will be fine

nope has not been started since the oil was drained
