Kid tested, mother approved.

By that, I mean all the openecu dudes (including JohnBradley) signed off on this...your DD is an 05 isn't it? You need to try this, srsly. I'm working on the IX one next, stay tuned :)

Yes, 2005 MR. I realize more and more people are going speed density, and I'm not knocking it at all as it appears to be the future of Evo tuning. It was just one less thing for us to worry about for the time being, and clearly the MAFT combination works ;)

I think it mostly has to do with winter as most anyone considering a build like this would have to drive something else 6 months out of the year lol. It just makes me a little bit sad that the first big Evo project to come through my facility was from North Carolina!

Watch out, I'll show that to JohnBradley/Aaron@ER, IDK if he'll think that's very funny ;)

Good work guys. I agree that a MASS sensor was a good choice for this project. Customer wanted a daily driver with repeatable and dependable results, why not use a MASS sensor over calculations, IAT, and map sensors. Speed density rocks, but you can get a car PERFECT with a MASS when it comes to drive-ability and idle.

Ok, I know SD is a big hype right now, but no one has really proven it to be better than using a GM MAF. We are using a 3inch upper IC pipe with a 3.5 GM Maf and I will bet you the restriction is not hurting the power at all or spool for that matter.:beach:

And for the time it takes to get SD right (for driveability, not just dyno numbers), you could've spent that time on things that would actually give you gains.
