This car is for my girl shes swapping her good engine in ,and we will see how that goes because her laser is needing some help. Her brakes and trans are on there last leg trans grinds in every gear the ecu acts funny
all the usual dsm bull ... yeah the guy is a 35 yr old with 2 kids was surprised that he dident know much about these cars being that he owns 2 of them
i have learned alot about these cars in a short time 1. dont allways count on what people say about the 4g63 there only bullet proof if you are carefull and do the maintenance and take your shit to db to get it tuned or you will be like me and blow up 3 engines
2.never do anything half ass or pay more later .
3. read the dam forums vfaq and find your answer
4.you get what you pay for :score010:

The dude said it's a 91. Last I talked to him a few weeks ago, he said $900 was the absolute lowest, not low enough for me to want to rebuild a motor and have a practically stock dsm.

So is the chassis decent then? I may have my awd donor after all...

awd drive swaps on 1g's;are a lot of work.

Not to downplay getting a real tune, but these engines are pretty easy to please compared to most other engines, computer controlled ignition timing making them pretty resilient to improper timing or fuel delivery, I have yet to get a dyno tune and blow up an engine from it.

I know, thats what I'm looking to avoid. I meant a chassis for me to drop the 6bolt in my FWD into as a donor.

Sticking to FWD..interesting decision. I've ridden with you, I know how you drive. I'd say AWD..lol
