Wondering what you guys like to use for bolts and gaskets for mitsu housing turbos, I used a grade 8.8 bolt before and they just stretched out from the heat, I don't know what the factory ones are made out of but those work good but now with a tubular manifold they are too long... any ideas?
Also they make gaskets bigger than the 7cm2 ones?

Couldn't you maybe use a dremel to cut them down? (Referring to the factor bolts)

No, they are only threaded at the very end, and besides I'm down to 1 cause the other factory one I had galled up and got tore up bad.

I had nothing but problems with mine backing out. I currently use some standard Zinc plated socket head bolts I grabbed from work. Here was my final solution to stop them from backing out.

I just use some aircraft bolts and matcing locking nuts

B, do you have the lock wire pliers? Or did you borrow that from work? I used to have a pair that somehow left with me when I got out of the NAVY, can't remember how that happened or what happened to them after that. I always loved aircraft solutions for car stuff.

Nah I don't. We have a bunch at work, but I don't have any of my own. I just used Vice Grips to do the twisting for those bolts. I should pick up a pair though. I wonder if my favorite tool store (Harbor Freight haha) has some for cheap :)

I have ARP bolts holding my turbo to the manifold and they work great.

the factory most likely uses grade 10.9 metric bolts cause thats the strongest they make for the common bolts. other then that grade 8.8 is fairly strong but not great and i think its 12.5 that is stronger then 10.9 not positive tho, i just know its 12 something. only reason i know any of that is cause i work at a hardware store and get alot of bolts from here for my car.
