heres an idea, hand out Glock 18's to 20 random people on every flight. the idea that the wrong move could get you turned into swiss cheese should discourage terroristic activities. it would be less invasive than body scanners too.
(^this is meant as a joke)
I personally volunteer to do that job.

I agree with Steve. This administration doesn't even take the security of the president seriously, how can we expect them to watch out for the rest of us???

One thing you cannot do is blame Liberals for this. And this seems to be the norm for right media, blame obama for the system failing.... did we forget who was on watch when 9/11 happened... what about the shoe bomber?
Who ever said anything about Obama and Liberals? Seems like someone is a little insecure about their political views, current administration and who the decided to elect into presidency?
Kind of quick to try and take shots at Bush when he has been out of office for how long and these terrorist attacks are still happening?
And this seems to be the norm for right media, blame obama for the system failing....
Aren't you indirectly blaming Bush for these terrorist attacks in the statement below?
did we forget who was on watch when 9/11 happened... what about the shoe bomber?
Aren't you being hypocritical when you say "Don't blame Obama... Its the norm for the right to take shots at the left..." when you just blatantly just did the same thing?

First off guys, I wasnt blaming the conservatives either for this. And i wasnt saying anyone on this board was saying it was his fault, but the fucking right wing press and cheney have come out and said it was obamas fault. Which is sickening because they seem to turn a blind eye towards the failures of the previous administration.
Incompetency rules the day and who knows how many close calls it's going to take before we get back to the safety we felt in the Bush years after 9/11.
LMFAO, yeah right. its like sitting on the front of the titanic staring at the iceberg. waiting for it to hit. Incompetency Ruled (past tence) the day, thankfully that was yesturday.

Remember, Obama has been in office for a year, are we better off or worse off?

Has he done anything productive in that year? The economy is still bad, the housing market is still in the tank, unemployment is still high, he wasted billions in taxpayer dollars that had nearly no positive effect on the economy, terror attacks seem to be on the rise and getting damn close to succeeding, and the list goes on... Oh well, I hope he had a nice vacation with his family in Hawaii.

housing market helped some people buy houses though that were renting before. Sucks for me though trying to sell a house that is worth less than we owe.

Well since everyone likes to debate, and have our monthly "mitsustyle political battle royal", I'll toss my hat into the ring.
As stated, Obama has been in office for a over a year now. Can anyone honestly say, that America was gonna be one big happy eutopia after just one year? This is gonna take time, won't happen over a short period of time, just as our current situation did not happen in one day. Years of mistakes and mishaps have led to now, and for those of you to say nothing has changed, is frankly bullshit. The economy has shown signs of stabalizing somewhat, is it fixed? No. But something is happening. If McCain was in office, would everything be fixed?
As for national security, it's not up to par, mainly in part to it's lack of communication between branches. Sometimes it takes a screw up, to fix a problem. Let's just be thankful, that nobody was hurt in this screw up.
