Wow. Kinda want. Kinda meh. Wonder how well it works?

First year free, $30/year after that.

Cool technology, but I don't want to pay the $300-$500 cost plus $30/year for something I'll use once a month. The regular viper fob has more than enough range from most houses to the garage or parking lot, so when would you use this for remote starting?

I suppose it would let you know if your car has been broken into while you're in the store or mall or whatever, but could you get back quick enough for it to matter?

I can do all those things with my key and keyless fob. Cool, but pointless, technology.

But can you start your car from the other side of the country?

Pointless scenario: You bring your keys and everything with you on a trip to California, the wife needs to get her laptop out of your car (forgot about it) so she calls you. BAM! You unlock the trunk while on the phone with her.

Other scenario: You're on the other side of the country and playing with your phone. Accidentally hit the trunk button, and nobody is there to close it for you. So you lose your laptop and nice carputer.

I never have both my sets of keys on me so if I have one but Janelle needs in my car she can grab my spare. I think your "other" is the more likely scenario.

$300 on top of the cost of the alarm.

Another Scenario: You lock your keys in your car. Instead of waiting for someone to bring a spare you can just open if from your phone.

I would consider buying it if my winter car was worth it.

Good one. People who lock their keys in the car often would definitely benefit.

I have this, and sell them from work as well.

It's $500 for the remote start, keyless entry, security system, and iphone set up. The first year is free, then $29 a year after that.

If you do lose your phone, you can do a function setting on the remote to lock out the smart start until you re-activate it (again, via remote), so your phone will then not be able to communicate with it in case you lose it/it gets stolen.

And even if they did start your car, it would instantly die the second they touched the brake pedal.

It can also do multiple cars, and vice versa. How nice would it be if you were in california, and you wife locks her keys in her car. then you can unlock it for her from thousands of miles away.

I already have a viper alarm, so am I right in assuming it is $300 for the app?
I do like my alarm and have used the same on 3 different cars.
I am kinda interested. Sadly I am not a baller
