Making own threads FTL.

Making every thread OT on style FTW!!

ok ok, so when you getting one of these? or are you all turbo'd out?

Those things sound crazy!
The microphone was being overloaded and the weird spooling sound was the result. They sound just like any other turbo. :)

But if they made a FP Brown, I wouldn't be mad.

http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-dyno-tuning-results/460594-fp-black-some-e85.html

I received my car from Reese Tuning today and as usual they did great work. I will post up the dyno sheet in the morning, but for numbers I put down 448/390 on their mustang dyno at 29 psi and using E85. Full spool was around 3800rpms as well, making this a great turbo for the street and this turbo can very easily make more power. Thanks again to the crew at Reese Tuning! Below are my mods:

Cosworth M3's
Buschur intake
Amsoil air filter
Nisei UICP/LICP and competition intercooler
Buschur TBE w/ test-pipe
GM boost solenoid
Reese tuning intake manifold
mil.spec 65mm TB
Buschur ported exhaust manifold
Fp Black, ported with 25psi wastegate actuator
Buschur double pumper
Precision 1000cc's
EPM O2 housing

...I had a couple runs over 520 at 33 and the reason that I had them take some timing out and knock the power back down to 450 was because I'm on the stock block for now. Once my built block comes in then we will push it to the lkimit. The timing is veryconservative for E85 (daily driver, don't want things blowing up) and I will get the exact numbers from the tuner and post them up. And agin..this was on a mustang dyno identical to Buschur's.

I had asked about more conservative boost on pump gas:

Another black, the car made 421 whp on pump gas at 23 psi of boost.

That nuts, so what is the dsm equivalent? the 3082 thing? or 3076?
I think I have finally learned to be done with bolt-on anyway, but then again I don't see upgrading past this setup unless it is terribly flawed.

BOT: this turbo looks awesome, how does it compare to yours? pretty similar right?

To mine? BBK is ~70mm compressor wheel, this is 82mm! Way bigger.

There isn't really a direct dsm equivalent, because this evo black uses a stock turbine housing, which is twin-scroll. The advantages are pretty obvious on teh bottom-end and mid-range. The closest equivalent would probably be the HTA DSM82, which is what brad is running on his 2G, 500whp @mid30's psi on E85 on what I'm guessing is a mega safe tune since he's still on the stock bottom-end.
