I can't afford one now, but was thinking that it wouldn't be a waste of money.

Anyone think this is a bad idea/waste of money?

Thanks.

They do make a difference, sometimes big, sometimes small, depending on your set-up and your outside airtemps & humidity. Any time you can make the charge air temps colder (and more condensed) you will make more power with less chance of detonation.

looks like just some brake line bent into a circle with some small holes drilled into it. a solenoid valve and the bottle. you could easily make that for under $100 depending one the price of the bottle. the AN line, solenoid valve would be under $50 and you could make the sprayer part.

I started to make one a while back for my stock ic. I couldn't figure out how to mount it to the ic. I have some braided line laying here and I bent some coppertubing and drilled holes. Never tired it or installed it though.

I jsut looked at the link. That looks quite expensive. If I were going to buy something for that much I would look into the NX Ntercooler kit. not much more money on ebay and ~400 from a vender. They are proven. My fittings and copper tubing cost maybe $5. I had the lone laying around and I could get a cheap ball valve for ~5. That leaves my total to ~$10 and finding a bottle (actually I have a 15# bottle but am not sure if they would fill it. Don't know the specs).

You could take the bottle to a paintball gun shop place to be refilled, it cant be too expensive, maybe 5-10 bucks.
