Forgot the camera so I didn't get any pics, but there is two things I noticed today, 1. Spaz, you gotta clean a little under that hood man, and get an intake already! 2. A certain black 2g needs some dynamat, I think you know who you are...

I had a great time today, lots of cool cars!

Well lets see. My headgasket went between cylinders 3 and 4 and took out a chunk of the head with it while I was on my way to Twack's on saturday. So I ended up going back to Winona this morning to get my dirty ass Stratus and brought that instead. Anyways, here's the pics:

And now on to the carnage pics:

I have blown my share of HGs and have never seen that happen before. What caused that?

I took about 400 pics. I'm sure Spaz has more.
I'm sure I don't. I got really lazy about it really quickly, I'll be surprised if I took even 100. The current issue though is processing... the trial period on my photoshop ran out, and I don't have any way to activate CS4 that works on 64-bit OSes, so if someone knows anything about that, PM me. I would just use CS2, but it doesn't have native RAW support.

I tried. The power washer in the car wash at work didn't do anything by itself, and I inconveniently forgot degreaser at home. Pretty much left me SOL by the time I got off work at 9.

The big cleaning is going to come when I do timing in the next few thousand miles. Car'll be down for a few days, and I'll be fixing all my valve cover leaks, including both exhaust cam seals, so I'll be washing all the oil off everything after that's done.

Looks to be a good turnout, what makes Swifty so special that he can just park sideways in the middle of nowhere?

I wish I knew. I was rolling onto the gas to merge with traffic in 4th gear, maybe built 5 psi and then all of a sudden I was running on 2 cylinders.

My guess is that the gasket blew but then I tried limping it to Twacks so I didn't have to tow it or anything. With the combustion trying to go through where the gasket went, it probably took some of the head with it.

I will say though that Twack is the man for helping me with this. We compression tested it, diagnosed a head gasket, and then we got the whole thing apart in a little under 2 hours. If the head would've been fine we would've gotten my car together and to the cookout no problem.
