If so, then you can afford to sponsor a child in need. Think about it, around $20 a month can give a child in need food, water, shelter, clothing, and an education... things most of us take for granted everyday. You have the power to change someones life, I hope you decide to to make that change.
Honestly, it doesn't even have to cut into your weekends. If you can eat out one less time, buy one less new hat, buy one less new pair of jeans, or golf one fewer round a month and so on...

Wow...what to do with this thread... I've never seen a thread quite like this on 'Style and frankly don't think you have a very good chance at getting members here to contribute, especially since you're a n00b and most people don't know you yet.
Are you actively involved with this organization? Who is it? How to people contribute? How can we be assured most the money is actually going to help rather than just lining some guys pocket?

I really like the thread idea. If you don't want to donate or sponsor then just hit the back button and don't bother. No need to flame somebody for steppin outa their bubble a little bit.
I sponsor a little guy in Nicaragua through a ministry called Compassion. I donate $32 whopping dollars a month. I set it up automatically too, so I don't have to bother writing checks or remembering to pay all the time lol. It's pretty sweet really. My little guy (Jose, 11yrs old) sends me letters every month or so and always includes a little picture or somethin he colored. I can obviously write back and over time, get to know him more and encourage him.
If you are at all interested please check out these links. If not, then don't. :)

You won't regret it :) ...and if you do, or just cant afford it anymore, you can always cancel your sponsorship.

this is all good and fine, but why the hell do they always want you do the monthly 20.00 or so for a kid or family that is out side the US. when we have just as many kids and familys here that could use the help. I am not saying not to help out people but we need to help out our own back yard first
