The Evo X will walk all over it; for less money.

I personally don't feel that this and an Evo X fall under the same grouping to even be compared.

IMO a car like this would be better compared to something like a G8, Charger R/T, or Impala SS.

I would say the X MR Touring package that is coming out is pretty good competition for it. MSRP $41,960 South coast mitsu is selling them for $38,999

I disagree. A Lancer is more compact than a Tauras, atleast in my perspective. It's one size bigger in my eyes. Like a Lancer and Galant, Altima and Maxima, Fusion and Tauras. A Lancer and Tauras just isn't apples to apples in my mind. An Evo will walk all over a Tauras at the track sure. Same as an Evo would walk all over a Galant GTZ at the track also. They are different animals, aimed at accompishing slightly different things.

Just my opinion :)

I do think the G37 was a decent comparison though. Similar sized cars, aimed at a similar crowd and a similar goal.

Good point on size, I guess I'm going on the 40k semi lux AWD turbo car, ie a fun DD.... Just depends on how you look at it.

The reason I made the comment is because they're both right around the same price-point. Sure they're in different classes, but so are DSM's and 3/S's yet people always compared those. Anything can be compared, you just need to remember the differences and what exactly you're looking at.

OK, but a comment such as "an Evo will walk all over it" is pretty one sided and generic. An Evo will walk all over a G37 for less money also, and an Acura TL, but who cares when they are built with a different purpose and goal in mind? I'm going to go on a limb and say that this car was not built with a stearn mindset that most of them will see real track time. I'd guess they were probably going for more along the lines of a 4dr comfy family car that has some good get up n go and can be fun on the street, while still keeping the in-laws happy and cozy in the back seat, with a not so overly "look at me" look, yet still being a little edgier than the norm.

I bet there is more interior space, more trunk space, and a slightly smoother ride than an Evo X MR.

Don't get me wrong, I'd take the Evo over it anyday. But I can guarantee you my dad would choose the opposite.
