Evo8 ECU in a 1G DSM

Yup, that's right! Hopefully someone will make an actual conversion harness, this would be the coolest thing since....someone put one in a 2G? :)

I think you will like the evo ecu. My 1g runs soooooo much smoother now with it than it ever did on the eprom 1g ecu. Its not that the old ecu didn't work good but the evo ecu makes the engine respond to input like an evo instead of the "choppy" way the DSM ecu seems to respond.

It now runs like a top! God its so smooth compared to DSMlink! Cruising was effortless, not all jerky and stumbly like before. I'm in heaven now lol. Thanks for all of the help 0xDEAD.

Time will tell if it really works well. They don't work worth a shit in the early evos but they make the car run

WTF are you talking about? Evo8 ecu's are like $100, make an adapter or maybe someone will for another $100, $50 for a cable and you have a fully tunable ECU! You can't touch that...how much is dsmlink, $500? Reflash tuning is doable but hardly readily available (no offense shane), and if you wanna tweak your tune at all you have to yank the stupid ecu out and rip it apart each time you wanna make a change.

i think theres a thread on dsmtuners about it being in a 2g so it's been done.
