In my town only the state troopers that pull people over for tint, the local cops could care less. My buddy got a tint ticket for having limo tint, they told him to take it off but he didnt then got pulled over the next week and told the cop he has never gotten pulled over for his tint before then got another ticket

If you have electric windows, put a switch inline with the actually door switch but hide it. Then when you get pulled over, hit the added switch quick, to open the circuit, and tell him your windows wont roll up :)

http://smartglass.com/default.asp this would be better yet, tint and un-tint with the press of a button

I was on the road for maybe 15 minutes yesterday, and saw 5 or 6 of them, including some in new hiding spots. It's crazy how much they're out now. Probably time to invest in a detector.

I love my detector, I really believe it has saved me from $1000+ in tickets. Ever since the economy took a dump the cops have been out more heavily; its an easy way to generate revenue.

the smart glass would be sweet to fuck with the cops, get pulled over with your windows super dark (like 10%) then right before he puts the tester on switch it to clear, then when he takes the meter off switch it to 10% again, he will think his meter is broken lol

That SPD Smart-Glass is pretty ingenious. Let it trickle down to everyday consumer levels, awesome.

Automotive window tint citations are on the rise. My brother-in-law, who is an SPPD officer, always gets pulled over and "warned" about his civilian vehicle tint. Mostly in BC, BP, MG. But everyone I know personally, has had a least two tint citations already.

no front plate tickets in saint paul are up to $125- as well. And like everything else it's an add-on. You don't get the ticket for the 'worst' offense any more, you get a ticket for everything.

And for ghods sakes don't park around Mears Park (bars: Station 3, LoTo, The Bulldog, etc) with anything out of spec on your car. Same thing up around Rice park (the Xcel, McKnight, Pazzaluna, Kincaids, etc). The parking nazi (driving SPPD car #s 1175 and 1725) seems to have gone to a revenue raising school.
