I would not recomend it cause if done wrong it could hurt preformance alot.

If you do, use a FINE spray to barely cover it, and make sure you use a paint which contains ceramic flake to help dissipate the heat more effectively.

Anodize it!

if you must have it black, annodize it. but you really arent fooling anyone, as anyone who knows enough to be weary of a DSM with a fmic will take one look under your hood and start figuring shit out.

Also, darker colors absorb more heat from the sun. Not a good thing when that's exactly what you're trying to dissipate.

I was thinking that black absorbs more also as why I stripped the black off the ic. I thought that the layer of paint would keep some of the heat in longer. Was thinking I might be able to trick some stupid domestics though having it black. Maybe I will let it bling in the front of my bumper. I plan on using a black grill infront of it so maybe that will cover it a bit.

I put a fine black screen mesh over my FMIC and it makes it a lot harder to see unless you are actually looking for it.

fuck hiding it! once i get an fmic i'm gonna put big arrows down the side of my car pointing to it just so everyone knows. i think fmics just look bad ass, they shouldn't be hidden. its like giving your car a nice new set of D-cups
