ok been getting used to the laser for the last few weeks with the big 16g on there and i cranked it up and some how im hitting 20 psi im normally running 15-16 psi I am not getting fuel cut ... except when the check engine light comes on and then stays on untill i reset the computer im running 92 + octane boost would like to know whats causeing the light to come on

as far as i know the car still has 450 they are blue top injectors i dont know whats been done to the head but i know this i get loose traction when i get in to boost in 2nd gear then rockets to 90-100 all i hear is air moving
... i just turned it down to 16psi tonight affter running around
i dont know if any of u guys were out at sun foods and see it ...

is my boost gage lying to me ? i thought its not possible to push 20psi on a stock fuel system i allso think my 02 senor is bad i run really ritch i can smell fuel when im at a stop but ritch is better than lean ... id run a wideband if i could to see what im acutllay running

Oh it's possible to run 20psi on the stock fuel system, there is nothing stopping you. It's just a really, really shitty idea.

Were you in the red laser?

your ecu is compensating for your boost and that could be the reason why your CEL goes on.......if i read it correctly..

anyways, you shouldn't boost that much without much mods if you're just stock. ;) Boost is addictive but do it the right way. I haven't seen many DSMs around Uni...that or they have no clue what I'm driving. *sighs* well, how many miles do you have on it?

Didn't see any galants last night, handful of 1gs, couple nice 2gs, but vividly remember a red laser doing a pull out onto university, while a cop was passing. Damn lucky they didn't get ticketed.

CEL I'm guessing is something along the lines of fuel trim malfunction. You get it when the ECU is trying to adjust fuel maps past the 12% is allowed to adjust them to compensate for the excess airflow.

The stock fuel cut level is really generous, and the fuel pump can fairly easily handle 20psi to redline. But with stock injectors? Don't push your luck. I wouldn't go past 15psi max.

Yea throwing 20psi at stock 450's with a 16g doesnt sound like a good idea at all. Can only imagine what duty cycle theyre running at, or if its leaning out hella bad.

I would be cautious, i've seen people do it, but your running your injectors overtime to do so. SAFC and 550's and run it at 20 all day long with no problems.... pump may need and upgrade.

just upgrade the injectors and get a safc and call it a day. the stock pump should be able to handle 20 psi. dont do a walbro until you need it. The injectors are just open probably.
