A corner visible from my house has always been bad for accidents, and last night it took a life. Guy in his 40's-50's was on a bike going around the corner and cut in too much, and impacted the front of an oldsmobile intrigue at around 50 or so, throwing him over the car and into a sign. Ambulance came, helicopter as well, but they didn't move him, and there were 5 people in the back of the ambulance for a good 20 minutes, than 4 people came out and 2 of them walked over to the girl in the car and talked to her. At that point she started balling, and could be heard 100 yards away.
The ambulance didn't leave for at least 5 hours after the accident, and there were 4-5 vehicles that came and went with family members(i'd assume) all walking from the ambulance crying.
Kinda reminds you of how fragile we all really are. Everyone on a bike, drive safe and hope it's no one anybody on here knows.

Did the sign put the guy into peices? Ive heard that happening before. Ugh. These stories always make me want to sell the bike.

Is your name Josh ice?
But he did have a helmet on, ran into the car at about 50mph, went into the air, and landed while in flight face/head first into the pole by the sounds of things, than spun around to come to a rest on the pole.
Guy was the father of one of my mom's students in class today. He had no alcohol in him by the sounds of it, and wasn't driving recklessly.
As someone said on the side of the road last night, riding a bike is a time/luck equation. Eventually it runs out, and so do you.

ouch... that's sad. The exact reason i'm really reluctant to get a bike.

I sure hope so, because that sure isn't anything to make a joke out of...that would be pretty fucked up.

I forget the girl's name right now, but i remember her bf's name was Josh, and i know his last name but don't feel like displaying it to the public. New facts were brought up today, sounds like she did pull part way into his lane, from what i saw the car was still on the right side of the road... but may not have been.
I wish the best to him and his family, and to the girl. I'd feel horrible after something like that, my fault or not.
