Took my sweet ass time but got the evo washed, clay-bared, polished, waxed, and detailed.

Was worth the effort, saw your car...crazy mod list and impressive dyno sheet.

Thanks for putting this on again Curt! As always, it was a great time, and a pretty impressive turnout. Does anyone have the final numbers for how many cars showed up?

I think it was 141?

+100, thanks Curt and everyone else that helped put on the event, it really is something to look forward to every year! I'm excited for next year already :)

Thanks everyone for the great compliments. We had a awesome turnout this year. It crushed my expectations. The official number of cars that fully registered was 140. If you add my cars and stuff, the official number is 145. That is a dozen more than last year and 15 less than 2007. But what is interesting is we handed out 325 wristbands, which equals our 2007 numbers. So we had a lot more people there than what I was expecting.

Plus this year, we could kind of track the number of cars that paid, but did not get a car number. That was probably another 5-10 Mitsus.

Also a big thanks to our sponsors MAP and Brookdale Mitsubishi for supporting the event. Thanks to Brent Rau for coming and generating a lot of buzz.

I also had another great group of volunteers helping. Without them, I would of thrown in the towel long ago.

No pictures yet. Hopefully in a few days after I recover.

Thanks again,
Curt

There was more than last years event. Very good sign! I want to thank all of the people who helped put this together and make it the success it was. I had a good time even after my head took a shit. Curt, you might even have to look into more space next year!

I plan to be there again next year for sure!

There was definately a ton of people that were just spectating, there was even a little congregation of subie's in the back parking lot, mine included lol

Hey everyone,

I have the trophy winners and my pictures up from the Cookout. They are here:
http://mn3s.org/cookout2009/index.html

I added links to pics of individual cars, for most of the trophy winners. There are a few I wasn't sure of, or didn't have a pic. At the bottom of the page is a link to another page of pics that Alesia gave me. She took pics of virtually every car. So if you know of a trophy winner that didn't have a link, send me the picture number, if you see it.

We had a great turnout this year. There was more cars than last year. We ended up with 140 registered Mitsus there. And with my cars and the other Mitsus there we ended up with around 150 cars. We had a ton of spectators too. We ended up feeding 325 people. That is awesome! We had another perfect weather day too. Thanks for everyone that made the trip out.

Big thanks to Brookdale Mitsubishi and Modern Automotive Performance. They were our main sponsors this year. Also thanks to Brent Rau for coming and showing off his sweet drag car. Brent will be racing that thing up at BIR on Labor Day.

I also had another hard working group of volunteers. Andy, Derek, Ryan T, and Flip ran the registration desk. Steve and Mike W helped out collecting money at the entrance. Plus Ed, Stacy and Christine handled the food. Plus a bunch of other people helped with setup and tear down. I couldn't even attempt to do the Cookout anymore without there help. THANK YOU!

Hopefully next year we can find some even more ways to make the Cookout bigger and better.

later,
Curt
