Quick check you could do, is make sure the bolts are tight on the shift linkage cable. Mine came loose before and did the same thing.

Try the clutch adjustment screw at the pedal? Turn the screw away from the pedal and see if it helps any, maybe the clutch isn't disengaging 100%. Though I'm not sure why this would just start happening.

Or have someone check to make sure the slave is moving in/out. Maybe it's the master or slave going bad.

If it just started happening I would suspect your clutch master cylinder is going out or is low on fluid, or needs to be bled. There are a number of other things as well that could cause this.

If it shifted fine before and now it's getting worse I wouldn't adjust the pedal. I can almost garentee it's the slave on it's way out. It always gets hard to shift a couple days before it actually goes out on you.

maybe your tranny is falling off?
maybe your clutch disc fell apart/is falling apart?

was it instantly noticable? Did you do something right before this happened?(beat on it or something)

Check for slop in the clutch pedal assembly, it's very common

+1 on all of the above, but my bet is on slave cyl.

Shifter cables, they are common to wear out, 2nd/5th/Race is when you are pushing the shift linkage forward in the tranny, thus a bad cable will bend and not go all the way into gear.
