I just bought some off brand seats and now i have to make some seat brackets. Has anyone here made there own seat brackets before? This will be my first. What kind of material are you using? Just need some tips.

I'm actually doing the same! I just got some stock 1g seat brackets from a friend today, so I'm gonna be messing around with those, and hopefully i can get them to work! If I have any success, I will let you know.

I've made seat brackets before, They aren't really too hard to make. I just used some 1/4" thick 1.5" wide mild steel stock and bent them up to bolt to the stock locations, then welded them to the seat rails.

That's how Mark made mine. Go get some steel pieces at Home Depot or something.

You can get flat stock at any decent hardware store. Hell, the neighborhood hardware store just down the road from me has some.

i was thinking about cutting the stuff that sticks up on the stock ones (so the rails are flat), and then weld some square tubing on there.. that was an idea i had..
