Well Katy and I decided to get up a little earlier then our typical 11am wake-up time on Saturday's, and take part in the Fargo Marathon event. We were hardly ready to take on a Marathon though, so we did the 5k fun run along with a crap ton of other people. It was really cool, got us up off the couch, and we got to watch some of the real marathon runners cross the finish line, pretty amazing.

Anywho, I hope to do one again, a lot better then just sitting at home and watching TV! I'd really like to try and do that half marathon sometime, but might take me awhile to get to that point.

I agree it was cool seeing all the runners go through downtown, but it sucked getting to work at 9am because I live right outside the loop they took and I work on campus so it took forever to find a spot to cross! o well

Sweet. They're always looking for volunteers at marathon events. I helped out with the minneapolis marathon a few years ago and it was a blast, just sat and cheered on complete strangers and saw tons of friends and even my cousin running, had no idea they were even doing it. A little crowd control too. Pretty fun!

Our final times will be posted in the next few days, I'll put up what we got. We took it real easy though, so probably something like 35min. What a good time though!!!
