My opinion on sprung versus unsprung: If you drive it on the street more than the track, get sprung. If you drive it at the track more than the street, get unsprung. I've driven Jim's Evo on the street who had an unsprung clutch at the time and that was enough for me to decide that I'd never get an unsprung clutch for a street car.

It might be fine for you since yours is a weekend warrior, but at least drive such a car so you know what you'd be dealing with every time you sit in the seat if you haven't already.

LOL, Matt my 6puck is sprung.

I promise you if you drove it for the day you would have been better with it, jeez my wife drives the car and doesn't complain. :P

Brandon, Mo - I only am making around 375ftlbs of torque at Shane's so I'm not quite up to your torque levels but the 6 puck ACT has been really good for launching and not slipping. I think the street disk doesn't handle the heat as well and will slip easier. Try swapping out to a 6 puck ACT and see how it goes. I think Shane is running one in Mara's car without any slipping issues. 10k on mine so far in the Evo and its still a great clutch, I would definitely get another.

Maybe I'll throw a 6 puck in with my current 2600 and see how she does before scrapping the PP or trying the dreaded old/new 2900 I have sitting around.

The 2600 you have now, is that the new or old pressure plate? Mixing an old PP, with a new disc, could cause some dragging issues.
