I know the story behind that car, it's priceless...

Guy I know owned it who is also good friends with my coworker. He wanted to get a different car so he sold it to his toolbag coworker. Toolbag already destroyed a previous car or two and had no idea what he was getting into. The WRX had plenty of mods including UTEC, bigger turbo, etc. Toolbag proceeds to basically destroy the car and eventually gets it taken from him because of so many DUIs. Toolbag is now convincing himself that he will get the car back somehow, has even went as far as asking the guy he bought it from to buy it from the auction for him and sell it back to him.

When I heard all this I facepalmed so hard I started bleeding a little.

Cliff's Notes: DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.

Ok, I take what I said back...I dont feel bad for this guy anymore. I thought it was some guy who bled his heart out for a nice ride and made one bad decision and got it taken away. lol.

They come through the dealer auctions once in a while, but mostly the departments just sell them off to someone they know, kinda like banks.

What I find awesome is that even if you have your license revoked (I've never heard of them taking your car...I've heard of impounding, if that's what you mean) for DUI's or DWI's, you can get it back after you complete a treatment program (which is usually 48 hours of therapy/random drug testing). What's better is that a lot of people who do this treatment to get their licenses back tend to get more DUIs. I had always assumed they wouldn't give you your license back at some point, but they typically do, regardless of how many you have, as long as you do the treatment (I work at an outpatient addiction recovery clinic).

Scary shit. I just read an article about a lady who had 13 DUIs on record, revoked license, and got pulled over drunk, with kids in her car.

they can take your car for almost any thing. dwi,drugs,100+ on the freeway. It will not be a impound. You will never get it back unless they sell it off and you have a buddy buy it back for you. You can not bid on the car that was taken from you. If you are dumb in the fucking head to drive shit faced or run drugs in you car you deserve it.

It "sucks they take cars like that away from people"????!!!

Are you serious? If you're going to be that dumb to drive drunk you don't deserve a car period. Nice or not.

Wondering who the hell owned this thing friggen nice ass car.
Was seized by roseville pd for Drunk driving
Its black with the front of the hood cut out with a window filled in with wire mesh

That one statement seemed a little unclear. Typically if you get a DWI, you don't just go to treatment for 48hrs and then get your license back. You're typically going a few months without a license.

Yeah, it usually takes a few months to get your court shit in order, get an assessment and do treatment.

So yeah, you're right, you usually go a while without a DL, but that doesn't mean it's not easy as pie to get back.
