Surge is the turbo trying to cram air into a motor that does not want any more air at that time. A few things that will help surge issues.
- bigger turbo, so it has more lag
- Anti surge compressor housing
- sometimes turning the boost up can help, sense it takes longer to get to full boost
- Porting and making pipes bigger, this will add lag and should help the setup breath
- electronic boost controller that will run lower boost down low and higher up top
- power threw it, thats what I did with my 60trim.

It should mess with a MAS air car, as air is surging in and out of the compressor housing, so I would guess the MAS count is going up and down at a frantic clip. Its interesting to watch a boost gauge during surge.

Reposition the mass air sensor. :) Get a lighter BOV or a two stage thingy.
