NONE of this matters. The article is about subsidizing.

The additional profit potential for farmers created by ethanol production allows more farmers to stay in business...

Ok this is the only thing you really should have posted. And even in the context of this article, they should be able to produce ethanol and make a profit from it, or not produce it. If they can't do it w/o subsidizing, then it is killing us elsewhere.

Ethanol is cool as fuck but its methods of production NEED to change. Why its subsidized I understand but it NEEDS to be driven into efficient production one way or another.

I hope Ethanol stays, simply for the performance aspect. I don't care if it's made from corn, switch grass, or sugar cane. I just like that it makes my car fast. So I hope somehow they find a way to keep ethanol fuel, and keep it somewhat affordable.

I'm willing to pay the same price as 92 for a gallon of E-85. I'd even pay a bit more! Better than 110 and a heck of a lot more reliable less work than a meth setup. I'd maybe change my tune if I lived in a area where e85 wasn't plentiful but for now unsubsidize my e85 and I'll still be smiling.

NONE of this matters.

I quoted Kracka, that's what my reply was to.

Everyone thinks e85 is the devil of fuels, theres no reason to be hating, we just need to be more efficient about it. Whenever new things get started, none of them were efficient until we pushed for technology advances.

I love it when politicians and the media think they understand how production agriculture works.

I put in my vote for E100 or E98 made form other sources (ironically, more cost effective too)
